Suffering from back pain, cancer, shingles and other forms of chronic pain does not have to be a way of life. The Interventional Pain Center at UAMS offers you hope.

Our multidisciplinary clinic combines the skills of Dr. Jonathan Goree, Director of Interventional Pain Management Services and Dr. Jose Avila-Calles, with a team of physiatrists (physicians specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation), neuroradiologists and neurosurgeons.

Plus we have a new state-of-the-art physical therapy facility complete with a therapy and exercise pool to help with your pain management. Our pain physicians provide the highest quality care to patients suffering from acute, severe, and chronic pain conditions, including pain associated with the cervical and lumbar spine.

We hold a chronic pain clinic on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Jackson T. Stephens Spine & Neurosciences Institute.
