Letter from the Program Director
Welcome to the Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) located at Arkansas Children’s Hospital (ACH). On behalf of the faculty and staff in the Division of Pediatric Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, thank you for your interest in our program. It is our hope that your questions will be answered by the information that is covered here. We do recognize that this is strictly a personal choice to spend an additional year in training and, therefore, we strive for excellence in training our fellows not only as superior clinicians but to prepare you as a future leader in our specialty. My hope is that you will find this year challenging and beneficial to enhancing your expertise in Pediatric Anesthesia, but most of all that you HAVE FUN! The faculty and staff at Arkansas Children’s Hospital are one of a kind and you will see as your fellowship year progresses, their dedication and love for the children that we care for on a daily basis.
Pediatric Anesthesia will be holding it’s sixth match for 2018-2019 academic year in October 2017 through the NRMP website. Additionally, our program will accept applications through ERAS through May 31, 2017. All applications after May 31st will need to be submitted to our program via paper application. Paper applications will be accepted June 1, 2017 – August 20, 2017. If you have any questions about the application process or NRMP matching program, please do not hesitate to contact us.
