Surgical staff using Facetime on a phone with a patientThe use of FaceTime during brain surgery became a reality recently at UAMS.

UAMS Neuroanesthesiologist Doctor Indranil Charkraborty pitched the idea to an awake craniotomy patient before he went under the knife. He used the FaceTime as a way to calm Chris Stephenson as surgeons attempted to removed the orange sized tumor pressing on his brain.
